How is TABASCO® Made?
- pepper sauce is prepared using peppers grown on Avery Island, ensuring high quality pepper sauce.
- The peppers in Tabasco sauce are hand-picked, selected for its redness
and ripeness.
- The freshly harvested ripe red peppers are mashed and mixed with Avery
Island salt and placed in white oak wooden barrels to ferment, like wine.
- After 3 years, the aged mash is blended with distilled vinegar and
blended for 4 weeks before straining and bottling.
- No preservatives, food colours, stabilizers or synthetics added in
production process

TABASCO® Green Pepper Sauce
